Legal Status of CBD & THC

While many states have legalized adult-use marijuana for both medical and recreational use, consumers are less aware of what products are allowed more broadly throughout the United States.

In the United States, hemp products containing less than 0.3% THC are federally legal under the 2018 Farm Bill. This legislation reclassified hemp as an agricultural commodity and removed it from the list of controlled substances, as long as it contains less than 0.3% THC by dry weight. Products made from such hemp, including oils, edibles, and food products, are legally permissible under federal law.

Verima products adhere to the criteria of the Farm Bill that make them legally permitted to ship to most states in the country. However, state laws can vary, with some states imposing stricter regulations on hemp and hemp-derived products.
